Description:
Endereth is a tall, wiry elf with light
brown hair and emerald eyes. He is clad in leaf-green traveling
clothes decorated with a silver trim. When in human
lands or otherwise expecting trouble, he wears a suit of
adamantine chain and plate armor, an ornate helm, and a buckler. A
longsword is scabbarded on his belt, and a longbow is secured to his
back.
Background:
Endereth trained for many years as an initiate of the Order of
the Twelve Oaks, learning both martial skills and theology. On his
100th birthday, he set forth from Elonbé with his childhood friend
Karis, to learn more about the humans. He has visited most of the
human nations during his travels, including Coryan, Milandir, and
Canceri. Throughout his travels, he has tried to remain impartial,
even going so far as to save the life of Vals (including Emperor
Calestus).
Endereth has been fundamentally changed by his
travels. When he first left his native land, he greeted everyone he
met with compassion and friendship, as is expected of one of his
order. Lately, his eyes have opened to many excesses perpetuated by
the humans, including slavery and murder. Furthermore, he has been
tainted by the acquisition of an evil sword. Even after successfully
destroying the blade, Endereth's soul is scarred from the
experience, and he continually suffers from the taint left in the
wake of the blade's destruction.

Personality and Beliefs:
Endereth believes a war is coming between Elorii and the Val. While it may be delayed for a time, and the two
races may even unite against other threats in the interim, Endereth feels the conflict between the two races is
inevitable. While he acknowledges that the Elorii are responsible for many evil acts committed when they were a
slave race, those acts were done long before humankind came to the shores of Onara. As he sees it, even the human
version of events admits that the human gods killed and consumed the four Elemental Lords with no provocation whatsoever,
after the Elorii welcomed humanity with open arms.
The changes wrought
from Endereth's travels has made him cautious, suspicious, and
inclined to expect the worst from people. He heals Vals only
reluctantly, despite his order's mandate to lend aid to anyone in
need. The taint upon his soul has made him bitter and cynical, and
only rarely does he show his lighter side.
