Background:

The Angel and Buffy television shows focus on people who have been given a responsibility they didn't want, because they were the only ones with the resolve and the power to fight against the darkness. Slayer, Watcher, Vampire, Witch...people with unique powers and skills.

Second Chances is not about those people. The characters are failures - their dreams shattered, as life has dealt them a hand they didn't expect. Their city doesn't have a Champion - no Slayer, no vampire with a soul, no skilled magician capable of defending the innocent from the forces of evil. Not many people get a second chance in life, but the Powers that Be have other ideas. No one said it would be easy. But maybe, just maybe, the characters will earn that chance.

Game Information:

Second Chances is a Unisystem Lite game, using the Angel roleplaying game corebook (and elements from the Buffy roleplaying game). Each player submits two concepts - their 'ideal' character, and a version of that character who has lost their chance to be a Champion. The player plays the second version of their character, but will have an opportunity during play to become that ideal version...or something else entirely. There are no guarantees, but each player will start on an equal footing, and their choices will help determine their fate.
